I'm delighted to announce our team is joining Panther Labs to build the future of security detection and transformation, integrated directly into Panther’s AI-powered platform.
Security teams are drowning, and it's not just because attacks are up. It's because their data is a mess. Every year, log volumes explode. Companies keep adding more data, paying the "just in case" tax for storage that might help in some future investigation, but no one is paying attention to the data quality. When it's time to actually use that data? Fields are inconsistent. Schemas conflict. Detection rules break because someone renamed a field three months ago and nobody noticed until production went sideways.
The problem isn't volume, it's quality. Fix it at ingestion, or pay for it in every search, every detection, every investigation downstream. As the saying goes, “A stitch in time saves nine” - the same goes for data.
That's why we built Datable. Security and Observability teams needed a way to normalize and transform data *before* it hits the log storage, not after. Transform once, detect forever. No brittle parsing rules that break on the next API version. No complex query time joins. Just clean, consistent data from day one.
Panther saw what we were building and got it immediately. Their detection-as-code platform is built on the same philosophy: code beats clicks. When they approached us about joining forces, visions aligned, it just made sense. We're both obsessed with giving teams the control and speed they need, so why build a standalone tool when we could bake this directly into where detection happens?
What's next?
We're combining Panther's AI-powered detection engine with Datable's real-time transformation pipeline. Panther customers will be able to ingest data from anywhere, normalize it instantly, and get accurate detections without needing to have your queries do backflips.
To our customers: thank you for trusting us with your most critical data. To our investors: thank you for believing in our mission. To the Datable team: we’re just getting started, let’s go build this at the scale it deserves!
Let's go!
